Tools for hatching new Flutters

Nest • Nest is a collection of scripts, extensions, and education designed to help anyone create and maintain a Flutter fork. Nest is the tooling that makes Flock possible.

Patches

Nest-based forks are fundamentally based on patches. A Flutter fork, which uses Nest, takes the entire commit history of Flutter, and then puts some set of patches on top. This is what makes the fork maintainable.

Nest includes its own patch file protocol. This protocol is nearly identical to the standard git email patch format, with a few extensions for Nest use-cases.

Nest provides GitHub workflows to help automate maintenance of Flutter forks.
